Chemiluminescence & Fluorescence Proteomics Using a 2D electrophoresis gel in proteomics applications provides you with much higher levels of resolution than a 1D gel and often results in thousands of protein spots for you to analyse from a single 2D gel.
Syngene, with its imaging expertise, has developed high specification systems and software for challenging 2D electrophoresis gel imaging. Using either a G:BOX Chemi XT4, G:BOX Chemi XX6 or a G:BOX Chemi XX9 they can be fitted with correct filters and lighting to provide separation of high spot densities, guaranteeing you unrivalled 2D gel imaging accuracy.
Flexible imaging | With the G:BOX Chemi you can image coloured 2D gels stained with Coomassie blue or silver stain. Alternatively, for imaging fluorescent and multiplex gels you can fit specific Syngene band pass filters and our exclusive Edge lighting module. The moment the lighting module is turned on, the GeneSys software automatically chooses the right combination of lighting and filters available in your system, enabling you to rapidly image 2D electrophoresis stained gels with dyes from the CyDye™, SYPRO®, ProQ® and Alexa Fluor® ranges for fluorescent protein gel imaging. | Accurate automated analysis | You have to capture a high resolution image of 2D gels because they contain a high density of protein spots and Syngene's GeneSys software does this perfectly. You can analyse your image with Syngene's Dymension software which separates multiple overlapping spots, while reducing background noise to automatically provide precise results even from 2D gels with the highest spot density. |
